Smith Blog PicDestination Gettysburg’s Lynneah Smith came and experienced our tour- find her blog below!   Thank you Lynneah!

I just wanted to send a huge thank you to everyone for our wonderful ride on Thursday at 12:30PM. We were sure if Jordan, my daughter was going to actually go on the ride, nerves and fear played a big part. Your trail guide was amazing with her, it wasn’t 5 minutes into the ride and she was smiling from ear to ear. On the ride home, all she talked about was “her horse!” She truly had an amazing afternoon and so did I along with her auntie! Again, thank you all so much, don’t be surprised if we contact you again. She has been bitten by the horse riding bug. I just might have to take John up on the offer to have Jordan do “all of the work associated with horseback riding too!”

Thank you again! You all are wonderful!
Thank you to everyone for making it a wonderfully memorable day.

Thanks to the modern marvel of a blackberry we did a search and found your number. With no prior notice, we worked it out with your staff that my family would be able to ride at 3:15 that afternoon. That excited look once again was on my daughters face which always makes a father proud.

We met John at the prescribed time, accomplished the required paperwork and within 10 minutes we were on the trail. I must say having ridden with the other stable, your hour ride was so much better. Not only due to the location (Confederate Ave) but the fact it was just my family. My wife Rachel, daughter Emily and myself made up the group. John was very gracious and patient with the novice riders that we are. He is an asset to your organization.

Because of the wonderful experience we had with John we are planning on many more visits to enjoy the battlefield on horseback. I will ensure to make reservations in the future and would like to employ your stable.

Thank you again for accommodating my family on such short notice and for the outstanding ride.

Yours very respectfully,

Patrick Culver

I’ve finally gotten a moment to drop you a quick note of thanks for a really special weekend at Cornerstone Farm. There’s no way to express my appreciation for your hospitality and to adequately say what a terrific time we had there. I’m singing your praises to everyone here in Virginia Beach.

I especially enjoyed your beautiful garden and the colors that reflected peace and soulful renewal everywhere I looked. You carefully provided the environment for us to think and listen to each other and the blessings of everything that was around us. As a horsewoman I appreciated the love and care that John puts into his horses, barn, paddocks and pastures. Giving each the attention and time to ensure a safe clean place to be. It’s wonderfully obvious that his horses are valued and loved as the wonderful giving and trusting animals that they are. His quiet manner with them sets an example for us all in the way we treat each other and the animals we’re given to care for.

Thank you so much and have a safe warm winter. I look forward to a visit again in the Spring.
